The Bosque Family
Lara and Emkay Bosque met and fell in love in the Spring of 1994. They always knew that someday they would become parents. The Bosques have many friends with amazing adoptive kids in their community, and they knew when the time was right that they too would adopt children who had been in foster care. Once they finished all the paperwork to become licensed foster parents, they thought they’d have lots of time until receiving a call for their first placement. One month later came the arrival of their then 14 week old daughter, Ally. She was just 9 lbs., with bright blue eyes, dressed in pink ruffles and a sweet smile. From the moment they first held Ally, she melted their hearts. Ally was adopted just before her 2nd birthday and 4 months later the Bosques received a call for placement of a big and happy 10 month old boy. They said YES and Aidan joined the family. Aidan is a sweet, cuddly monster that has done everything developmentally early, trying to catch up with his new big sister. The siblings, just 18 months apart in age, have adjusted to one another beautifully. The Bosques are blessed to have been brought together through adoption. They are thankful for the miracle that has made them forever family.
